Who do you put in front of a camera to address this that is high enough in the company to showcase that they're taking this seriously that also won't potentially be implicated in their investigations and removed, given that extremely high level management staff have already been involved and removed? Ubisoft has hired a third party company to conduct investigations, and is already starting to clean house. You don't put ANYONE in front of a camera to talk about this stuff without being sure that person won't then be implicated and removed. This is the wisest PR choice for them. They just need to keep making progress internally and continue to message that progress publically, like they did yesterday with their press release. they have at least been doing the right poo poo so far and are tossing the bad fucks and will probably continue to do so. The chips are starting to fall now that the third party investigation has revealed tons of poo poo in their findings but I don't think this is at all done yet. In the upcoming weeks we'll really see if Ubisoft cleans house. If I were them I'd at the very least delay this event. It just doesn't seem like a good idea to broadcast a pre-recorded 'celebration' (their words, not mine) when this has just happened. Unless they're gonna frame it as "We're so happy those jerks are gone now, good riddance! No more sex pests at our company!".

I had a guy arrested for stalking and threatening to kill me (because apparently he invested way too much time in me to not get a relationship out of it) and yeah anyway, after he was arrested, his mother would call me at my job to yell at me and threaten to take me to small claims court for the property damage her son did when I led him on and broke his heart. She sounded a lot like that mom in the video which turned my stomach a little. I'm a mom now, too (my son is 16) and it seems like the way to go here is to have discussions about boundaries and expectations early on, instead of just squawking "NO SLATTERN IS GOING TO DESTROY MYYYY SON!" when he turns out to be a flaming pile of garbage.

Lot of these allegations aren't new but finally had some fairly irrefutable evidence, to which he decided to admit guilt, blames meds and carbon monoxide poisoning for his actions.
