Wealth protects wealth and it's hard as gently caress to get disbarred. Also, Gardener completely made a mess of the Eric Greitens sex pest case. She brought charges even though the key evidence, the photo supposedly used for blackmail, was not in her possession and she never produced it. She also had a key witness get indicted for perjury after she refused to let the defense interview him or see his evidence. She hosed it up so badly that she dropped the sex pest charge as well as dropping a much more solid case of felony tampering when he stole a nonprofit list and used it for his campaign data in exchange for him to just resign with no criminal charges. I have no faith in her ability to prosecute a high visibility case like this.

The licenses are at risk by their actions. A disciplinary action would be separate from convicted/not convicted and from pardoned/not pardoned. Pardons do not expunge guilt or record of guilt, it just means you don't suffer the consequences. At the Federal level a Pardon also waives your 5th amendment rights since to accept a pardon you have to fully admit guilt to accept it
