Speaking of basically brand new cars, I keep seeing this at the top when I sort used manuals near me by mileage. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/813480219/overview/ I love seeing old cars that look brand new, especially when they're not the sort of thing you would normally go out of your way to preserve, but lol at paying 35 grand for that.

It might not have a lot of miles on it but that isn't necessarily a good thing as you will have to assume it hasn't run in decades and do all that fun. Rubber parts will also just be wasted by the passing of time and anywhere their is fluids that have dried out will need replacing or cleaning, but yeah totally worth $35k

The people looking for these cars aren't buying on facebook. Plenty of 3rd gens have sold at BJ for over 50k, and mid 30s for absurdly low mileage isn't uncommon in the right circles (specialty dealers and auctions). He's just trying to sell in the wrong place.

poo poo, the Scion xA is faster than that, and it's not a fast car by any standard

New cars are fast. That was a bad time in cars, just after new emissions regulations and before OEMs had figured out how to make high performing engines that would meet emissions standards.

Ah, thanks. I was trying to find a new car with less horsepower and my first guess was a Nissan Versa. Which sits at 125 or so. So my hypothesis is a Versa has more HP than an IROC. Or close to it due to SAE ratings.
