I remember the "heartwarming" story of a 12 year old Carolina Panthers fan who mowed lawns to save for college and Panthers head coach Ron Rivera (annual salary $6.5 million) was so touched by this he gave him... a new lawnmower (from Lowes, which used the event to advertise themselves without compensating the child beyond probably giving Rivera the lawnmower for free)

I think I've heard about that lesbian island before. Except in this story it's a desert nation where a man is born only every one hundred years and when it happens the boy must be crowned king. The city I live in has gone back into full-blown lockdown and now mandated masks (so it's probably where that video is from) because of a resurgence in cases, and it is absolutely infuriating that people are calling for the state premier to resign when every piece of news about the situation is 'he's doing fine except for the part where a huge chunk of the country is outright ignoring the restrictions being put down'.
