My nan always told me to put either some lavender or a bar of nice smelling soap in the drawer with my clothes. I've never used my clothes drawer though since everything I wear follows the wash > clothes airer > wear > floor > repeat cycle.

I will see if I can get a hose adapter to the (unthreaded) sink tap and set that to hot. Failing that I will just wash them at my parents place. Zazi posted:Keep a bar of soap in the drawer. Sometimes they'll feel dry but have a bit of moisture left. I dunno. Anyway they make those sandlewood ball things someone was talking about with a hole in em so you can hang em on a (most) coathangers. I do like vacuum sealed bags but the biggest thing I find them useful for is packing away super bulky things that take up heaps of space that I never wear. You can just hang up em up but I usually wind up just putting em in a suitcase or somewhere you can really take advantage of the fact they wind up sort of square

You place the toaster upside down so the bread launches the toaster onto the kitchen floor

I think I have this same toaster and there's little guide wire frame things around the bread, so there is no way it could get stuck. It's also a calm little beep, not like my angry bitching washing machine Just give me friendly, happy beeps to alert me to my tech and I'm good.

I could live with that. I still prefer my mute button, but that's an alright tune as long as it only plays ONCE. I don't need it going off again in 30 seconds.

I put on some toast this morning for my breakfast. I gently caress off for a bit to tidy some other part of the house, and hear it pop in the kitchen. I go back in, and I can’t find the god drat toast anyway. Now, this isn’t too surprising. We’ve been making sourdough like the true iso-yuppies we are, but the problem is it has so much more mass than regular bread, so it is often flung outside the confines of the toaster, and can often be found on the bench, behind the knife block, or even behind the bench top compost bin. But this time, I checked all those usual places and still couldnt find it. I start broadening my search radius but still no trace of it on the bench. Then I look down and see it on the floor, underfoot. I wail in rage and angst, dust it off, and put on an irresponsible amount of butter and vegemite. Still tasted pretty good.
