I got no real hope for humanity, too much greed and political corruption. Maybe if China achieves true global dominance in time they can do something. They have the kind of do what works attitude that might still work, Sheng-Ji Yang was right.

universal one man one vote suffrage is a stupid, crude idea. clearly votes should be weighted based on who you are where little capital power = more voting power. pensioners should still vote but not for the government but for some kind of council that represents their interests as a group separate from the actual government, same thing for teenagers (although theyd still be represented by adults obviously) people who suffer from the mental illness that makes them actually believe in flat earth and things like that should just be registered as mentally unfit to vote. those in higher income brackets should have the weight of their vote reduced proportionally by bracket. if incomes become more equal votes become more equally weighted again, allowing the system to sort of naturally oscillate between socialism and liberalism democratic systems are unstable when you have too many people voting who have no interest in maintaining the stability of the system

theres also just the feeling of having a big steaming cup on your desk in the morning that beats the espresso, a big cup is your friend and nice for warming your hands when its cold. big mugs of black coffee are the best

My grandma would make me a big cup of Cuban coffee when I was a kid (like around 9 or 10) for breakfast when I'd spend the night at their place. Also my other grandma would make us coffee and we would sit on her porch and watch thunderstorms when they'd roll in. I'm assuming most of the reason I like coffee is because of those memories.
