I remember there being a very small portion in the early mid, or mid early 90's, about 92-94 or so, where Industrial type rock was pretty popular in small circles. Kind of the answer to Grunge becoming too popular for some. My local AM alternative station, the real alternative station and not the poser FM ones that came along about this time, would play stuff like Ministry, Machines of Loving Grace, White Zombie, and the first time I heard NiN, all in between playing something like Pavement, Guided By Voices, or Man or Astroman in between. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI6V6VD56n8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXCh9OhDiCI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPNFVj-pISU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrrEo3hZABU -I had the maxisingle on CD of this. I think it had 8 or 10 different remixes of it. Unrelated, but they also used to play this all the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_F49QSHuDE

So much for your highbrow marxist ways. Song still owns, but I remember at the time annoying DJs would be "it's a song by a man but from the point of view of a woman! That's insane!"

I love how many people go to bat for that awful cartoon and it always always turns out they're just nostalgic for the intro and haven't seen an episode in a quarter century. It is a really good intro
