Since Trump's advertising can't figure out if Biden is a jailer or an anarchist, he's going to revert to LAW AND ORDER LOCKER UP and Biden can pivot to kids in cages, protests, and what he'd do different. It's easy politics. Biden and Harris are basically the same on this poo poo (though Kamala was a cop) and he won the Democratic primary with his position! There's also a point to be made that Biden was just "fine" in Democratic debates where he agreed with 75% of everything anyone else said, but he'll probably be a fuckload better in a situation where he completely, fundamentally disagrees with the other guy. Plus, he took 30 minutes of questions today, made next to zero news, while everyone else is talking about demon semen. It's instead about appealing to Biden's (And the wider democratic party's) African-American base, of whom African-American women in particular are one of the party's most reliable voting demographics. He's reportedly been under pressure to select an African-American woman as his running mate, and of the candidates on the shortlist Harris has already gone through substantial vetting and scrutiny (Due to her Presidential run) and is the only African-American woman with Senate experience. Disappointing as hell since I really don't like Harris and was hoping for Duckworth, but also not surprising in the least.
