Conditions deteriorating in Puerto Rico! Now more than 230,000 without power! Oh wait, this is just the spontaneous failure of the power grid BEFORE the storm has even arrived. https://twitter.com/DavidBegnaud/status/1288197020688297994?s=19 I'm sure it will all work out fine

It's raining and windy but whatever. the storm is remaining weak so far. Doesn't even have a name yet... Appears to be headed directly to Santo Domingo, which could be a poo poo show if it picks up energy

Tropical Storm Isaias has just formed, becoming the earliest-forming ninth tropical storm on record. It beat 2005's Tropical Storm Irene by 8 days.

My power went out for a few hours this morning but came back. Some solid wind gusts and torrential rain in the wee hours

Eight named storms... it's July still! Good luck to all those lower states and the Caribbean. Goonspeed. Anyone know the likelihood of a mega-typhoon this year? Hurricane activity is higher this year but I don't know if it translates.

The storm is really one of the most disorganized hurricanes I've seen. It's suppose to hit me Monday night but from the looks of it I kind of doubt it'll stay a TS Anyways I finally got around to buying a generator because the tropics have been crazy this year but Amazon lied to me and it won't be delivered till Wednesday lmao

The world's largest inland freshwater marina had one of their docks break loose and hit another, causing millions in damage, (also straight up flipping a Corsair 24 onto the dock(!!!) and ripping its rig completely out. The other major marina on the lake lost a dock, which I'm less familiar with, the sailing club lost part of the roof and had several boats damaged. Just a normal August storm at 2pm with spouts, 70mph gusts and golfball hail out of nowhere.
