So I've been seeing a lot more motorcycles on the road this week, and this morning I decided to check, and guess what!!! The Sturgis motorcycle rally starts today! That means a half million chuds are going to descend, mask-less, on west SD to party over the next 10 days. Between that and schools opening back up, I can't wait to see what COVID numbers look like at the end of the month.

He also rode one of those huge road bikes that might as well be the size of a compact sedan. He got incredibly upset with one of the female officers in the unit pointed out she was more free in her convertible than he was in on his “grandpa bike” and PPE. She wouldn’t let it go because he was generally a standard sexist SNCO and saw it visibly upset him so it was a pretty good laugh for the rest of us.

Well you could, seems like everyone bought a bike since the pandemic started, so the market is dry and prices are high.

Yeahhhhhhh I have every confidence in my own ability to safely operate a motorcycle, but zero confidence in the drivers around me to not kill me. A bunch of friends got super into motorcycles and then quit simultaneously after one of their friends was first on the scene to a motorcycle vs truck accident. Spoilers for  There were two people on the bike, a man and a woman. The woman had multiple compound fractures but nothing life threatening beyond the agony she was in, but the guy... his jaw fell off when my friend tried to do CPR on him.
