No see they're planning on hitting a subway car. As in, punching it. Beating Spidey gave them delusions of grandeur.

in '70s New York City, there was a bunch of crime on the subway, a lot of it robberies and purse snatchings attributed to youth gangs as well as stabbings. It was so much in the public consciousness, there was even a song on Sesame Street called "The Subway", about the New York City subway that included the line, "You could lose your purse, or even something worse, on the subway." Here's a link to the song.

The tools of a hero mean nothing without a solid core.

I haven't a clue how it would play out in real life (and these days with cell phones probably even less likely) but one I've seen in media is to hold up a single car when the thing's moving, get off at the next stop and disappear into the crowd before someone can get the cops.

The New York City Subway used to run money trains that collected the fare revenue from each station. But these goobers probably aren't looking to recreate the Wesley Snipes/Woody Harrelson classic Money Train

Yes you can from the Comics Kingdom site. I'm the proud owner of a print of the giant spider strip signed by Roy Thomas!

You can, but if you're not a paid subscriber then you'll need someone who is to find the strip in the archive and send you the public URL for it.

For recent strips you don't need to. Luckily since they're running through the stories again the selfie is a recent strip.

It looks like it's just you send an email to kfsreprint@hearstsc.com

For the selfie, the email message gets auto-populated and says:

quote:

I am interested in buying a print of the Aug 11, 2020 edition of "Amazing Spider-man" comic.

So for the proportionate strength one, it should be:

quote:

I am interested in buying a print of the Oct 25, 2016 edition of "Amazing Spider-man" comic.

Anybody know how much these things cost, or do I have to actually email to satisfy my curiosity?

When I want to relax, I read an essay by Engels. When I want something more serious, I read Corto Maltese.

I would argue that this is the greatest achievement in human art, nay, human existence . It surpasses all things, and nothing could surpass it. In your face, pyramids of Giza.
