The :nws: story of the mysterious Kamiura-san was recently uploaded, and it's a little bit different.

Also, it's not my thing, but an anthology named '2D Comic Magazine NTR Les Kanojo ga Kanojo o Netottara' has also recently been uploaded, in case someone wants to read it.

I'm a little ashamed of how much I enjoy really fluffy things lately but I took a chance and also destroyed Ikoku Nikki overnight and I gotta say it hosed me up. Legit tears.

It's really good.

It got another epilogue that's set after a timeskip so it's tagged with 'adult life', and is very :kimchi:

Probably a question that's been asked a billion times.

I'm not a huge manga reader but i'm looking for some gay romance stuff that's written for gay guys by gay guys, rather than by fujoshi for fujoshi. Any recs?

A lot of men that do bl manga use aliases, and a lot of the time you're either getting bara porn or mostly the same thing women make. Like Hirotaka Kisaragi is a gay dude he isnt exactly rocking the boat. So it can be hard to define 'for gay guys' versus 'for fujoshi.' they arent quite this super delineated thing

Milk's on them.

I really do wish there were more LGBT-specific works. Yuri’s fine though not quite the same, and I will die inside if I have to look through the crossdressing tag on Mangadex for any trans content.

Maybe just look for the stuff marked josei or seinen if you don't want fluff? That's probably your best bet.

I think judging by the rest of Pollyanna's post they just want to find more trans centred works.

The 'its not the same' is in reference to their tastes, rather than saying yuri isn't the same as lgbt.

Rocking the boat means like, pushing the bounderies of the boys love genre. Not innovating on tropes or what have you.

oh im sure, just uhhh, weird wording

ZeusCannon posted:

fujoshi? it was a term made up by 2ch otaku to get mad at women who liked boys love. boys love fans reclaimed it and use it as a point of pride. there's male fujoshi too nowadays but by and large it still refers to female fans of m/m romance and the tropes they tend to enjoy. im saying that there's gay male mangaka who still lean into those kinds of tropes, and as mentioned there's men who enjoy those tropes to some extent, so it can be hard to make a clear divide between 'stuff for fujoshi' and 'stuff for gay men.'

Everything Burrito

I Failed At Anime 2022
Endorph covered the history of the term in a nutshell but fujoshi just means "woman who likes m/m content"

fudanshi is the male counterpart and fujin is a gender-neutral option for people who don't want to use fujo/fudan.

The BL thread has some links to what some of the basic terms mean if you want to read about them in a little more depth.

I don't know enough to elaborate on who coined it, I'll throw in that it translates to "rotten girl" and is a homophonous pun for "refined girl" or something like that.

Wouldn't it make more sense to say "trans focused content" then? :iiam:

Apparently while crossdressing, I was hit on by a handsome guy is becoming a series and not a oneshot and I say, good for it.
