2022-23 All-Star Break Update

All-Stars
Hockles (Atlantic Division)

Alexi Mouskovitch - AHL All-Star Game (Central Division)
Prep Hemlock - AHL All-Star Game (Central Division)
DJ Exile - AHL All-Star Game (Central Division)
Keen Jelly - AHL All-Star Game (Pacific Division)

The Avalanche started to scratch Charles Dollfan after just a handful of games. Something must have happened between him and the coach, because he is in the pressbox while other players that are worse (OVR) are playing instead.
In Chicago, Bouwmeester regressed and Potatoes O'Bourke developed more, and got O'Bourke on the Top D Pairing
Hockles leads all defensemen in Goals, so I would guess that the fans would vote him/me into the All-Star game, even though he is 5th in the Atlantic Division among D-men in points.
Tom Nook missed over a month with a broken foot.
The Central division in the AHL houses a few goon all-stars
Unless something drastic happens, I don't think a goon is going to win the Calder trophy for rookie of the year, this year.

Lots of trades happened as we approached the deadline, I posted the relevant ones
Prep Hemlock joins the goon crew in Colorado! It gets him into the NHL, and brings Dollfan out of the pressbox.
The new d-men in Chicago move O'Bourke down to the 2nd D-Pairing
Apparently DJ Exile got called up to Detroit last season for a dozen or so games and I didn't get a notification for it. It happened this season as well. The bug where a goalie that gets called up due to injury to an NHL goalie and it does not show up in the news is still there.

3/19/23 - COL sent Prep Hemlock down to Colorado (AHL)

RePrimeau was 4th in Hits in the NHL
Well, Hemlock's time in the NHL was shortlived. I believe a few forwards were injured, which helped him stay up and not immediately go to the AHL from the trade
Detroit didn't have enough cap room for LeBlanc (86 OVR) in Detroit, so somehow he was assigned to Grand Rapids (AHL) and has played there to end the season. His contract expires at the end of the season, so he was a trade deadline rental that they couldn't have up in the NHL
I don't think any goons in the NHL or AHL will win any awards, but you never know with this game

Oh hells yeah. How many times did they fight each other? How do we get all 3 on the same team?

Taters, mad respect for throwing down every other loving game and severly endangering yourself and others.

Jørg Hockles, you're killing it but you gotta put up 20 goals, man.

Soup, uh, maybe pass somethimes? Or not, whatever.

Wish we could do a g/60 stat becuase my napkin maths have Hort at close to 65 pts if played 20 mins a night. Wonder how many fights the 5'5" Stijn won? Slokje, more like sock ya!

Dick Glynnenstein & Tom Nook are Calder Cup champs!
No individual awards for any goons this year, everyone's gotta step it up.
This should be the last year of Juniors for the last remaining handful, so if they don't make the NHL they will be in the AHL
I fully expect Hockles to get offered a full-length contract instead of a tendered RFA offer, but who knows

There were a ton of notable retirements, but I tried to stick to the big names
Well, Hockles hit free agency, but Ottawa re-signed him anyway. No offer sheets were made.
Keith RePrimeau, Stabby McStabson, and Large Adult Son get contract extensions in place for when their ELCs run out. I think the amounts are correct, the game doesn't specify if the amount on a multi-year extension is per year or the total.

Comments
Ok, I was wrong. The second draft class had 1 more year of juniors based on their DOB. Large Adult Son and Max Power get one last ride in the CHL
Ergo Hogfather (80 OVR) is a healthy scratch in San Jose
Even though Donks is a scratch, I expect him to get some ice time in Belleville

Comments
No goons moved around at this trading deadline, and not much excitement is happening for anybody
It doesn't look like anyone is in position to win any awards, but a handful should make the playoffs
Van Buren might sneak in and win the Rocket Richard trophy, but that is about it
