Parents said that if I continued standing up to my mother's emotional abuse, they would kick me out. The first time for one day, then for three to five days, etc. So after contacting a friend they helped me fill out a form to an lgbt advocacy group -- and holy poo poo. Filling out the risk assessment meant dredging up a lot of lovely things I had blocked out, helped me validate the whole idea of getting help with benefits, submitting to the Welsh GIC, maybe moving out. It feels like the unobtainable goal of moving out is suddenly much closer, although I'm scared by how unprepared I feel/am. only advice i can give on the moving out is to make sure you know where all your important poo poo is and to make sure it isn't with your parents the day i finally moved out (into an apartment we were originally moving into a week later, but, well,) my mother decided to dump everything i owned onto her front porch. that was a fun night. you can do it.

I was a lot more scared of all these UK terfs before I came out to a bunch of people this year - most people just say "ah cool, congrats, sorry if I mess up your name a few times" and that's it. Maybe it really is a terminally online minority after all.

yeah some of their propaganda hets through here causing lot of “feminists” to start spewing some poo poo about trans people invading women spaces and all the usual poo poo, of course they are the ones being interviewed by major newspapers and when we are criticizing them they play the victim of “the trans agenda”, while trans and gender nonconforming people are being completely omitted by interviewers, or being asked about their sex life instead of other parts of being this kind of person in this hellhole. To end it on positive note, more than half the year with my girlfriend, we are doing great, never been so happy in my life
