What's the most out of date thing in there? Animal Kingdom? The land isn't cleared for Pandora, and it looks like the Harambe theater is still under construction. Also it is extremely cool that Universal hasn't announced the coaster yet. Extremely refreshing after the Disney approach of "we are excited to present Tron Power Run in Magic Kingdom, opening 3 years from now."

Yeah the game uses Bing maps images that are a few years out of date. They probably had to lock into a map version early in development. They say they will provide ongoing map updates in the future but haven't gone into details yet.

It's a lot of incredibly cool tech that uses a gigantic server farm to turn raw satellite image data into some sort of deterministic procedural generation dataset that can stream to clients to locally produce accurate-enough-for-almost-any-aerial-view 3d views of almost anywhere in the world... ...but its data comes from Bing Maps.

Vegas changes even more often than Disney does, and based on the state of casinos in the game it seems the pictures were taken in 2014. It's still nice that we can go and visit Epcot B.C. (Before Chapek)

For the unfamiliar: That show was the third tie for a DCI world championship in five years. IIRC shortly thereafter they tweaked the rules so a tie hasn't happened since. The championships that year were also held in Orlando, which is pretty cool. Disney really went all out with their promos for EPCOT and the Millennium Celebration that year. The Super Bowl halftime show was also IllumiNations-themed and, in a perfect encapsulation of 2000 pop culture, featured Edward James Olmos, Christina Aguilera, Phil Collins, Toni Braxton, and Enrique Iglesias. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dWxq1D-B9s It's so sadly inspiring how the messages were all about hope and innovation and how this new millennium is gonna be totally awesome

For truly unique buildings the devs have manually plug in a unique model.

I miss half-time shows before they deemed it a requirement to make them POP MUSIC YOU KNOW AND LOVE, but I guess it makes sense.

I'm back at AK today. I got in at 2.5 hours after park open and there was only one row full on the parking lot. I also got a reservation at Tiffins for lunch. The dining room I was in only had one other group. Good animal day though... Saw a baby Babirusa, baby zebra, baby flamingos, and baby monkey. The tiger also came right up to the window and looked at me face to face. Best part was the bird show. They don't have the equity actors yet so it's just the trainers showing off the birds. You can get individual ones. You scroll down and click on the "Team pack" of any of the teams and can just choose the one item. The problem is they're not nearly as good or the same as the ones in the giant magic band set. Otherwise I'd get a Celtics one in a heartbeat.
