I thought the whole crux of the Q thing was that Q was some high ranking Trump official leaking top secret info to true believers. If trump acknowledges it, then what’s the big secret? I get that logic and reason are not factors here but it’s kind of hilarious that Trump addressing Q means that their is no reason for Q to exists, Trump can “go public” with his fight against the satan pizza cabal Or whatever.

The only general optimistic view is that the extreme right has a lot of bark and not as much of a bite, possibly due to laziness lately. They would rather have the cops kill the black people, versus pulling the trigger themselves. I've really been quite surprised that there haven't been BLM-marches that have been shot to complete gently caress and it's only been a few low-count shootings here and there. I'm not sure they'll remain a paper tiger, but I think going forward there will be a lot of open carry BLUE LIVES MATTER nonsense versus downright armed uprising. One thing that could change that is Donnie raising up a stink, but he's also inherently lazy and wistful about his old life when he could call up Fox News whenever he wanted to yammer for hours. Granted, he does that anyways, but people tell him to stop now and they didn't before.

Welp, Germany's back up to 1500 cases a week, and several counties are well above the 50 new infections per 100,000pop 7-day-rolling-average (35 in Bavaria) which triggers increased restrictions, and I do believe some are already above the threshhold where new lockdowns would take effect, but I haven't seen any of yesterday's statements / announcements by the state governments yet, sooo...

I guess the idea that boog/extremist types are too lardass and/or cowardly to actually do anything is worth considering. But one thing I've learned in my life is never to underestimate crazy. And Trump's words and actions, especially the ones of the past six months, I think have pretty much guaranteed that some people are going to do some crazy poo poo, no matter what happens in November and January. This is, in fact, a deliberate tactic he uses. By saying "the only way we lose this election is if it's rigged" he is straight-up threatening violence, by these very people. We also should not overlook the fact that there are a disturbing number of current and former military, including SOF types who have leaned full-in to Q and Deep State conspiracies. I think probably most of you have seen some on Twitter/Instagram/YouTube or wherever. I know sometimes people talk about how SEALs and Rangers and the like are dumbasses, but nobody is going to enjoy seeing one or a small group become hell-bent on blowing something up or fighting their way into the basement under the pizza place. I'm not trying to push the "crazy vet" trope... but I am saying that these conspiracy theories today affect large numbers and cross-sections of the population, and it would be foolish to think that for some reason current/former mil would be above kinetic action for the cause. I really believe the good vs. evil narrative is potentially leading some people down some dangerous roads.

Longer explanation gets into lessons of WW1 and 2 and how important just feeding our young people is for national security, can't have a strong standing army if everyone starved as a child, or got polio/died due to no vaccienes, and other things the right wing seems to hate that enable their very way of life.
