Then, in the late 2000s, the tracks started to buckle at the height of summer 2009 was basically the worst summer we had ever had to that point. The University of Melbourne School of Earth Sciences has a website where they track daily weather data from the weather station on their roof, and February 7th 2009 went off the chart  The preceding week had three days had also been nearly that hot.
