I love hermit crabs. I had one as a kid but only for a few days until my dad tossed it and told me it died because I left it outside in the screened porch. We took a cruise to the Caribbean a couple years ago, and I found myself on a little island under a palm watching these little hermit crabs scamper along the ground and all over the tree. Sat there for like 3 hours missing the one that I had 30 years ago and just being amazed at their little lives. What was a good day, though it could have been better with a stronger breeze and more drinks. Ok, bye.

One thing I really envied about the entire Maryland punk rock scene in the early oughts was that if you had any level of local pride whatsoever you ended up getting a sick as hell crab tattoo. I have seen so many completely sick creb tats. What’s weird is that I don’t like creepy bugs, and I am scared of being pinched... but I really love crabs and think they are super cute.

I went to the aquarium supply store today and saw some good crabs. One tank had a bunch of fiddler crabs just kinda casually pinching at the water. I don't know what they were doing but it looked like they were all waving HELLO. It was nice.
