I bought both Tesla and Apple shares the day after the split announcement and it's been working so far but now I'm getting severe Ralph "I'm in danger" feelings since $10k that I used to buy the Apple shares was on margin with the intention to sell a covered call way out of the money but with enough premium to pay the interest and slowly pay the margin off but it's hard to not just sell 20 shares now and pay it off

Funny because “I’m in danger” is exactly what goes through my head every time I open RH. I started playing EVE again specifically to have something else to look at on my phone instead of that or my deleted facebook. I’m only down 8% YTD!

Is there a way to not buy on margin on ToS when you enable margin? Like, I don't want to disable margin altogether, just buy a specific stock without using margin.

Ok got out of GOOGL it had ballooned up to 37% of my portfolio, only 11% but still was a pretty smooth ride. Still holding 25% of the position. I really hope we get a killer pullback soon but I still am long in techs and cyclicals .

loving RIG (and HOS and TDW, remember when we were all infatuated with them for awhile a ways back). But I sold some $1 puts on them, lets go. They'd have to fall almost another 50% from here in 3 weeks for me to lose money, and the stock is so cheap there's an almost immediate floor in at 0.

Man... I have a pile of money that's been sitting in the Rydex 2x QQQ leveraged fund thing (RYVYX), and I get so stressed when I try to imagine the near future. I don't even know if I should ask about it in the long-term investing thread instead, but I'm guessing people would just immediately yell at me that leveraged mutual funds are dangerous. I've had it for 11 years though! It seems to be riding all this tech boom straight to the moon though, so I mean wtf.

Nikkei and DAX both up 1-3% so it looks like the DOW and S&P will follow the lead. Need these spy calls to moon. Kept buying dips on AAPL and that ended up being bad, it'll rebound.

Actually hit my margin max when I went to sell some puts on CRM today. Went and looked at the calculator and they are requiring 100% on most of my positions. MNTA is really loving me, that acquisition is locked in but they are still requiring 100% on it. As if if the acquisition fell through it would go to 0. Its weird though, SINA is only at 20%. Ahhhh well.

Just banked 480% profits on weekly FB calls and 200% on weekly MSFT calls. Should've gone all in... And NFLX would've been the perfect trifecta. Nervous about the Fed tomorrow but I'm betting they will just confirm a new higher target for inflation.

Completely got out of MSFt and rerolled into option 25% of the profit. I added small SPY puts and vxx. I had VXX a week ago but got stopped out.
