I'd give her the benefit of the doubt simply because her parents are such assholes. We all know Republicans are by their very nature broken people, but considering the histories of her parents (from backing Trump and Todd Akin to harassing Clintons) I imagine their home life is nothing but politics, browbeating, and just plain old supercharged neglect.

I’m sure that part of it is that she’s a kid who doesn’t completely understand the gravity of what she’s doing beyond striking back at parents who probably are terrible abusers. She’s just doing what seems normal to her with the tools at her disposal and she hasn’t really thought about how it could be different for her because her parents are public figures vs just rich. I hope she destroys their lives and gets out of there.
