Most of these types think everyone outside of the US is just jealous because we have freedom and they don’t. Most have never stepped foot out of their home state, let alone the country, and they genuinely believe all other countries are way worse off than we are. Most telling was my recent trip to Paris last year when, upon my return, my very racist right wing aunt asked me if I had any trouble with refugees and Muslims. If you tell these people how embarrassing they’re being, they’ll wear that with pride. They genuinely like being awful.

I'm going in with high expectations, mostly so I don't have to worry about Trump exceeding expectations and so that I can laugh a little when he fails them. Trump will have a well written speech and say it in a way the uninitiated would call "ok" and not go off script. The speech itself will contain the usual fascist rhetoric but nothing particularly out-of-bounds. He will have some reality-TV-esque gimmick prepared that might just work.

One of the wierdest thing I noticed was every prolifer conservative was tweeting a specific quote from Abby Johnsons speech "Did you know abortion has a smell". They talked about how much they cried when she said that. And of course Abby is lying about everything but pro lifers seem to think that one line is going to change a pro choiceers belief.
