Thomas Cruise Mapother IV has a movie releasing later this year (Top Gun 2) so he was probably fine with supporting the idea that visiting the movie theater is totally fine again.

Man I didn't see it like that it all. Just that he read it and called it a "miss" but then decided it wasn't when he saw the date. The complaint wasn't that it was an old joke, it's that it was a bad joke until the date made it not so.
