Worst case, it somehow severs a vent line and the ballon can either not rotate in 1 direction, or quickly vent the hot air. Either situation is not great, but trained for and generally easy to deal with. Pretty sure worst case is puncturing the propane tank during a burn.

I've had some potshots taken at me in flight (gently caress Florida) and the tanks were probably the best protection I had (never found any holes in anything, they were probably just shooting because they were lovely humans). The tanks are really well built. A slug or a rifle round might be an issue against a tank, but I'm fairly certain any time of shot from more than a few yards away would just bounce.

This was actually a car lift that malfunctioned after being flooded and short circuiting. The building manager is a friend of mine, and he said that after he looked into who installed the car lift (without asking the Owners Corporation) he found that the company no longer existed.
