Trying to recover from this "According to the NFLPA, over 25 percent of player grievances in the past two seasons had been filed against the Jaguars" and just throwing poo poo at the board to see what sticks.

I am definitely very curious how the Saints would come up with the money, but also curious why the Seahawks aren't trying to pull it off as well. Is the bridge really that scorched?

At this point, the Saints might as well go beyond all in this year, rack up $150 million in dead cap hits, and not bother to show up next year.

I think the Seahawks genuinely believe they don't need to make a splashy FA signing on their D line. Otherwise they would have done something at all to court Everson Griffin. My sense is that they just want lots of cheap, quickly rotating bodies on the line with the secondary and lbs being the backbone of the defense.

It makes sense if you approach it from the point of market inefficiencies. Everyone else is valuing linemen sky high. Why compete against them when you can maximize value elsewhere?

It's similar to the things Belichick has been doing.

I feel strongly that this is true for TEs and LBs. Used to be true at safety but the market seems to be correcting itself.
