I haven't found anyone interested in speculating why a bunch of lone wolves decided to drive cars into people in 2014 in Israel, but presumably it was one guy decided to do it first and then everyone (including Al Qaeda) realised it was a pretty good idea when they saw it on the news. It, however, did predate the start of Fear the Walking Dead, you are indeed correct that that was not why. Now we all know how terrorists decide to do things - it's not because of that episode of Fear the Walking Dead.
