Man, why did they have to give the Enyaq a faux-grill? Or am I missing the point?

Some designer probably designed I without "the iconic skoda grille" but than people didn't immediately recognized it as a skoda so the put the grille back on. Designing a car without a grille that still looks like your brand is pretty hard since the companies never had to do it. I'd guess it will take a couple more car generations till we are past the "closed off grille that looks like the one from the ice" phase.

They should go full retro and dust off the moulds and tooling from the old air cooled rear engined Skoda's.

But of course even these guys felt the need to try and slip a $250 wheel lock set into the final paperwork after we'd verbally confirmed the number. $800 above MSRP, but at least it's what they were advertising. I've never been involved in buying a car from a dealer before, and I'm not anxious to do it again anytime soon. If I had to have another exchange along the lines of "So can you just give us the out the door price?" "Well what you have to understand about the two tone paint is that the chief designer of Audi..." I'll go insane. This is why you just goto tesla.com and put in a credit card number. Done deal in about 45 seconds.

I bought a BMW which was inside the dealership; all clean and ready to go and I still lost half a day to waiting for the sales person to get all the paperwork sorted. Next car is going to be a lease bought online.

When I bought my Tesla, it took an hour or so, mostly because of some dumb financing poo poo. The rest was NBD.

Neither of the places we seriously dealt with for the Bolt were too bad, the first wanted to tack on key fob insurance for $350 (same coverage available from regular insurer for $30) then screwed up actually delivering the vehicle. Second dealer was straight forward but still wanted us to take a test drive even though we already had with the previous dealer and knew exactly what we wanted. A bit weird but whatever. Still far, far better than Mercedes Benz. The "insert credit card here" thing was a major selling point for Tesla.

We might see a Rav4 PHEV in Arizona in 2023 if they can manage to make batteries at volume. We've managed to buy a Prius Prime and a Bolt in Arizona over the past two years. The Prius was fairly easy to come by, AutoNation Tempe had several in stock. The Bolt took quite a bit longer, but we simply told several dealerships what we wanted and what we were willing to pay. I think it was three weeks later we got the call back from Courtesy and the first time we went to the dealership, we drove it home a few hours later. Wasn't thrilled at the Oasis Blue, but the packages and the price were right. Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome, but I'm glad we ended up with a lively color instead of another shade of grey.

I don't care about the rating, I care about if it's effective. I have a 2006 Mazda 3 with a cabin air filter and it doesn't do poo poo for smoke or diesel or whatever. My Mercedes will block out wildfire smoke though, so I'm wondering how the Model 3 will do at it.
