Today, I am screwing around in high sec anomalies with a Burst. It's the fastest frigate that's pilotable right now, other than the Burst II, which costs too drat much for 7 extra m/s. I fit it with a MWD, an autocannon and a remote shield booster. My primary goal is to steal from pubbies running highsec scout+ sites. But I am also going to try to deny, or at least delay, the final kill to get into looting position. I am also hoping this will piss off anyone in one of my regular farming sites enough to go somewhere else if it proves effective against destroyers.

I've run into plenty of pubbies who don't even have an AB and are farming these, they get really pissed when you steal from them multiple times and end up with 100% of the loot other than the lovely MK3 stuff in wrecks they prioritize because it's closer and in their mind the loot is all theirs and anyone else is cheating / stealing / not playing by the rules. They are wrong, honk at them while taking what is yours. You are a goose, everything is belongs to you.

Been playing with a few other Goon friends in Echoes and really enjoying it. It's my first try at an Eve game and I've already made too many spreadsheets.

Going to try farming some anomalies for Scout/Inq in high sec today and see how that goes, with the new patch out there's a decent amount of gate camping going on.

Yes, those are fun. They don't even know how to loot fast enough when sitting on a can. I should be able to outrun all the Slasher IIs running around now, unless they get too much of a head start.

Gonna take a quick second to shill out for EO. If your like me playing EE has revitalized your joy of Eve and I recently got pulled back into EO, now I'm looking to make you guys get rehooked..

Mittani posted:

You knew this day would come; you knew that you would be called. Only as a last resort; only when it matters most, when the fate of our tribe and the galaxy itself hangs in the balance. The Horn of Goondor, only to be sounded in our darkest hour, when the enemy is at the gates of Fortress Delve and it is time to win or die.

That time is now. There has never been a bigger defensive war in the history of Eve Online, and we're going win this thing - or lose every last Titan we own in the process.

150,000 pubbies have surrounded us and declared that their mission is to exterminate Goonswarm and the Imperium from the game itself - the very same campaign Sir Molle and Band of Brothers attempted to prosecute against us in the Great War. For months we have fought them, outnumbered 3-1 against 103 alliances, the largest blue donut in the history of Eve Online - TEST, NCdot, Pandemic Legion, all of them, all at once.

They expected this would be easy. They underestimated us. For months we have held them back from Delve, but now they have moved their supercapitals in range of our home region, and it's time to throw down. Unlike the Casino War, the enemy does not have infinite isk to rely on; we will not withdraw or retreat from our home. We have spent years preparing for just this moment, and the next month will be one of constant battle at the very highest stakes in online gaming. It will be amazing, and this kind of war won't come around again for many years. The time to return and fight the good fight is now.

Goondor calls for aid. Will you answer?

Also thanks for all the hard work MEANs people. I got a free v2 and now I'm mining more minerals to feedback for production. Almost like caring for your *space* workers makes your *space* company more efficient. :thunk:

People don't realize how terrible it would be. Just imagine if you could safely autopilot an entire fleet of any size ship straight to an enemies home system with no way of being stopped. It would make defending space incredibly hard.

no one saying that is thinking about owning space though they are thinking in terms of 0.0 is public land for everyone.

They'll have a problem with people claiming ownership of the systems too I bet when sov hits.

Yeah, I mean, stealth makes a good point but I also did kind of like how safe it was even in null. But holy moly the people losing their minds over it are something else again.

And it's not like lowsec isn't incredibly safe on gates and stations still.

How much damage do gate turrets do? If it's possible to alpha someone on the gate with a fleet in .1 space and get out without getting blown up, then that's probably not going to fly for people (even though mission running is probably safer than it should be right now given the payouts.) The idea that people want to just bomb around nullsec without having to keep an eye on things or fit stabs is funny, but having to babysit your CNI as it warps 23 systems over to your lovely 750K mission would be pretty rough.

In Null sec adventures, today I murdered some idiot in a blinged out CNI (estimated prices are actually pretty accurate now), then ~10 minutes later, about a dozen of his angry corpmates descended on the system I was in. Fortunately they all jumped in local at the same time so I just left while honking at them.

Valfleet got a fair number of blood wrecks; you need to farm deadspace hard for them. Slight edit: they only come from actual faction ships (i.e. Darkness Cruors, Ashimmus and Bhaalgorns, etc.)

I kind of get the argument on it being a poop game not a poopsocking game. Some of the suggestions are decent on there but for a lot of people in big corps sov and POS helps a ton on getting comfy and doing orders and runs back and forth to Empire.

I think people seeing it as a "poop game" are a bit short sighted with this. At the moment you can go from 0.1 to 1.0 pretty much with impunity from a travel perspective and within a destroyer or smaller in 0.0.

Eve as a concept is a game based on risk vs reward, if the risk is too high then do not do that action if it is just right then go for it - it is all about what you are willing and able to do. I admit that the communication around the fix was not great and the Venture II is likely bugged however if you want to just go around and not have your ship blown up you are playing the wrong game.

The game was set up so you are completely safe in 0.5 and above and at the moment without scanning you are perfectly fine doing any and all missions in empire as well.

People gatecamping do it because they enjoy it, and let me tell you the posts about people being annoyed about it make them enjoy it significantly more.

I just don't understand why they think they should have the ability to fly through nullsec untouched.

I don't have alot of sympathy for them...none of this changes anything in lowsec or highsec, so all their mission content is untouched

Also lol at us destroying a miner as griefing.
