I'll be honest having coaches run laps is hilarious for Judge.

Also people always seem to forget the other side of being a harass coach which is actually having a side that isn't a hardass, giving positive feedback and showing the players you care.

Zimmer is a notorious hardass but is also beloved by a bunch of players because as his micd up opportunities show he does care about players and has their back and jokes around with them a lot.

Heck a lot of players coming out of New England say that Belichick is actually pretty funny when. The cameras aren't around.

Being a hardass 100% of the time works to a point. But either you gotta have some give or win a bunch. If you can't do those you become Schiano.

Weird place to take it but yes some people do like the idea of hard rear end coaches. I personally dislike coaches like Joe Judge that treat their teams like bootcamps, but I don't necessarily think it's predicative for a bad record. I'd rather Joe Judge come up and fail before anyone reacts to his coaching style first.

It would be one thing if this was the 1st hardass wannabe to drop from the Bellichick tree and scream their way to a 4-12 season but we have seen this movie sooooo many times. At this point in time there may be more teams that have had a lovely New England transplant than not.

hey saints maybe make sure the state will allow you to play football

quote:

Saints officials are talking to the Louisiana state government to secure permission to play Sunday in New Orleans against the Bucs.

Playing through a pandemic means NFL teams will have to navigate local and state policies designed to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell said phase two of the city's COVID-19 plan does not allow football; Cantrell's top medical advisor said the Saints have applied to play their Week 1 game this Sunday. One would think this would be squared away, but one would be wrong. It's a situation to monitor headed into the weekend.

Wedge Regret
My whole favorite part of all the “Giants need a hard rear end coach like Coughlin!” is it ignores that Coughlin eased up on being a complete dictator and total jackass to everyone prior to 2007. He was still a serious dude and had his insane early/late crap, but every player saying he eased up on some of the petty bullshit and trying to run them into the ground every practice helped that team during the course of that season (Where they won the Super Bowl) and into the next (Where they started 11-1 before injuries crippled them, namely Plax shooting himself).

In other words, fire Joe Judge.

To be fair from the perspective of anyone who is not a Kansas City fan Scott Pioli being such a petty controlling GM and driving Todd Haley (even more) insane was pretty funny and good entertainment.

I guess you could probably say the same about most of the other teams on that list too.

If you have ever returned a kick or punt for the Chiefs your odds of being a jerk in some fashion go up like 250%.

I only discovered Josh Bellamy had any stats at all for the Chiefs looking this up to verify he actually appeared in a game for them at some point.
