After getting comfortable with these SPACs a little bit, I put some money into IPOB, thinking I would just park it there instead of cash waiting for the inevitable downturn before November. Thing popped 30% in a week. Of course, then I read they were merging with OpenDoor, which is a company I do not believe in at all, so I dumped most of it. Also made a good 30% on DPHC's pump. I did roll money into Chamath Palihapitiya's next SPAC IPOC, but I am now trying being conservative about these things because a larger market turn will probably pop any SPAC runs in progress. Chamath is a good hype man so it's kind of nice to ride these early pops he gets by selling to my dad on CNBC, but I don't think I'd ride any to merger like I am with SHLL.

I picked up 250 shares of his open door ipob. I sold like 10 shares of Zillow and 50 of Redfin to do it, because there both at ath. I’ve still got 100 shares of Z and 200 of rdfn and now 250 of open door. Surely one of these companies will take over real estate

I've heard one thing that drives the price is so many are buying call options and the sellers have to buy stock to cover. So if battery day fails to deliver the eternal life, perhaps a biblical gamma crush?

Personally, I don't love how tied their success is though to prevailing interest rates and market conditions in real estate. If there is a downturn there, I'll already feel it in terms of my home equity. Of course, if I had to sell my home because of financial ruin, I'd likely use one of those providers because I'm a millennial stereotype and would rather do these things online then have to go search for an agent.

Exchange data feeds are the sort of thing where you are meant to pay extra to put it in a spreadsheet to do sums with, then more again if you want to show that spreadsheet to anyone outside whatever corporate entity signed the contract

SHLL merger vote is scheduled for 9/28 GRAF merger vote is scheduled for 9/29 High likelihood of 100% profits in common stock and 200-300% in warrants between now and the vote. I won't be holding through the merger and ticker change due to uncertainty and volatility. These companies are going to ramp up over the next few weeks and there's probably not many days left before takeoff. SHLL is already underway. Do your own DD as always, obviously.

FistEnergy posted:SHLL merger vote is scheduled for 9/28 I'd be surprised if SHLL went much higher than the 58 it hit at the beginning of the month. There was so little pop on the merger announcement I think it's kind of baked in. That'd still be a solid 20% for commons. Really want to see the warrants catch up finally. I'm not happy at all with how Schwab has handled units and warrants on SPACs in general and the ticker change for UTZ took almost a week, so I want no part of holding through merger day either.

Schwab has been slow with stuff like that for as long as I've been with them. Even Robinhood is practically day-of. I think the smallest gap I've seen between Schwab and Robinhood has been like two business days. Kind of annoying.

Actually thankful for NKLA going up today, broke even after being pretty much completely hosed. I bought a put while it was $5.13 knowing it's a sham company and despite it losing a ton of money, something must have hosed me because it essentially made it a loving call. I guess I'm autistic WSB'er since I don't understand puts, I figured the IV killed it an theta didn't help since it was 9/18 expiry. I'm all for this Tesla run, it's making up for my terrible losses last three months. But I think it'll slow down soon if not go bullish tomorrow. It just seemed to lose steam today but it does correlate with SPY mostly.
