flipped cars are such an everyday occurrence in new orleans that taking pictures of them and posting them to facebook or the new orleans subreddit or whatever is just seen as this lovely catchphrase which tbf is in and of itself p funny. after moving away, it took me awhile to notice that people don't normally flip their cars  just a single car crash, resulting in an upside-down car nbd

Maybe some of that is apocrypha, but I think he really enjoyed going from being told he was a god and abusing his power in very sick ways as a child, to being a tightly controlled puppet, to being a good person, or trying to be. Supposedly he wrote to Zhou Enlai saying he wanted to make sure his relatives who escaped to help imperial Japan would not be allowed to return to China and Zhou wrote back saying, basically, "relax bro". He ended up also getting a job as an editor at the literary department of one of China's political bodies after being a street sweeper for about a year.

I was not familiar with the life story of Puyi and now I am completely absorbed in his Wikipedia page. What's the best biography of this guy? I'm totally fascinated.
