My grandma had a cat that avoided people and really hated any petting. Once a day she would meow and scratch the door when she wanted to be fed, which was the only occasion she would let you touch her. Then she had kitten(s?). Only one survived anyway. This kitten was pretty chill with people, but when she grew up a bit, she didn't like petting as well. Like, when you touched her, she would bend her back like it was something repulsive and she was trying to get away (no hissing or attacks though, just weird looks). But she had a little ritual that when she did it, she was suddenly very friendly. You had to squat in front of her, she would go round you rubbing herself against you, then she would show you her rear end, and then she would jump on your legs and you could pet her and she wouldn't bend or pull herself away but purr and be a happy cat.
I have no idea what that was about, she probably went though something traumatic or had some mental problems, cause she did weird little twitches and her movements were little weird (not very smooth) and was easily startled by whatever sound in a distance.
That's my cat story. No photos though, but it was a regular looking cat

She's very friendly and open to humans, or at least me it seems, and wants to cuddle all the time but she has no collar (dunno if that's a regular thing with house cats). Looks very clean and not super skinny either.

Maybe I'm just misinterpreting the behavior but if she has a home I wonder why she keeps coming to me and sitting outside my door at the middle of the night and almost falls asleep in my arm (or on my head when I squat down to pet her and she jumps on my back like a parrot)

I never really cared for pets but I am wondering if the little rascal has a home or is living outside (winter is coming) and how I best go about the whole thing. Do cats just randomly approach people outside like that when they have their own place somewhere?

I have read that this is how people occasionally become cat owners but it seems a bit surreal to me. I didn't try to let her into the house but I'm pretty sure she would have come in if I didn't close the door behind me.

IIRC there are little paper collars you can print out for just this situation. They say something like "yo does this cat belong to anyone? pls call if so." You put it on the cat and wait a couple days.

Ah, anyway, seeing all these cats and cat stories, it only reminds me that a close friend adopted a kitten like a month ago, bonded with it and had it euthanized last week because it suffered from fatal feline coronavirus peritonitis. Sad story.

Could you please talk us more about the new piping system?

Will all the pipes be entirely physicalized in the ships? Does that mean the ship interiors (and probably some exterior) will have to be reworked to get them visible? Same for "fuse boxes" and such.

This pipes will have specific routes it seems, and some even going parallel from one place to another ("rerouting"). So does that also mean the ship design will have to figure out a layout for each ship?

I'm guessing that routing will be translated to MFD and someones job would be to check if everything is in order. But what would a "normal" operation be for that same job? Distributing power?

What type of pipes are they? Power and heat sure. But then: fuel(s), quantum fuel, thrust plasma... breathing air, drink water?

And many more details I can't think of. This is kind of a new and unknown system for us, but it seems to have a wide impact in the future of the game.

Like sure, redo all of the ships with fully physicalized pipes, add another 5 years to the dev time. Why not?

I have to know what the gently caress these people do all day. Are they just all poorly paid fresh out of college first time job employees? Something like this really requires people with massive amounts of experience, veterans of the game industry, but instead it has the exact opposite. This team should be making small indie level titles first to start with, and then work their way up to what Star Citizen is promising. Or god forbid release the very humble down to earth expectations of Star Citizen back in 2012 and build up from there.

Next door neigbors are Cat Owners but they havent seen her before either. They will lend me a transport box though if we decide shes been around long enough to see a vet.

I cant keep her inside sadly as miss CT has a hardcore cat allergy but ill make her a nice place in one of the sheds or stables of this former farm for the winter should she stay.
