yeah this mangaka understands the balance between seriousness and levity. Then uses that interplay to toy with the reader's expectations or put another way: this manga manages to not jump shark. when it could easily disappear up its' own rear end

 The future is the best! Will Makima get back up from this? He didn’t eat her heart and she’s still under contract I seriously can’t believe that hamburger sequence. I can’t wait to read this in good quality. This Sunday manga day is already one of the best thanks to this chapter.

The fact that they do the jingle twice, and the second time it’s exactly the same panels, but the two dead guys are replaced with their decapitated heads, is the pinnacle of black humor and I love it. Also the dude slaps Kobeni for saying “Ah,” and his last words before dying are...”Ah.” Also also, Kobeni tripping twice. Also also also, Chainsaw Man dancing to the Family Burger song. This is the best chapter since the one where they first went to hell, and this manga rules so hard.
