People have been experimenting with extremely tall pictures with a black guy at one end (for instance, Obama) and a similar picture of a white guy at the other (for instance, Mitch McConnell) to demonstrate that Twitter's facial recognition algorithm that it uses to crop thumbnails is racially biased (it focuses on McConnell no matter which end of the picture he's at).
