it's 2020, Mario 64 is back, final fantasy 7 is back. what's next? your seventh grade summer reading. get ready to write what you'd never say to kelsey outt loud by writing on the brown cardboard book jacket.

Now would be the perfect time to post the Pole-Jack a Norseman book cover but I don’t know where I saved it.

Actually it's perfect, because Salinger is actually featured in Shoeless Joe, but when they adapted the novel to film he told them to gently caress right the hell off and so they invented a new controversial author to fill his role. The joke makes 100% perfect sense as is.

Also, just to really COVER YOUR BASES, when Robinson adapted the novel to film he really wanted to keep it named Shoeless Joe, but studio executives forced the name to be Field of Dreams, and Robinson loving hated it. Ironically though, as he found out years later when he finally met Kinsella, the original title of the novel was The Dream Field, and publishers forced it to be changed to Shoeless Joe, which Kinsella hated.

Time, and jokes, are flat circles.

...or wait, were you just trying to make a catcher in the rye joke but actually accidentally stumbled upon a godlike joke involving the one franchise in which salinger was involved personally and denied rights?

I don't even care, because either answer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be phonies

Big Penguin Race is Brave New World because it's fun the first time because the Penguin kicks rear end. But you don't want to do it again.
