This. Ive had a nightmare 24hrs. My better half and I used to be proud of the fact that we've never had an argument or raised our voices at each other in over 10 years of being together. Last night we realised that all thats done has been hiding the massive wedge thats been splitting us apart without us seeing it.

I've spent so long stuck in a funk over my lovely job that I've not been aware of how much poo poo i've been leaving to her to pick up behind me, and shes believed that shes supporting me by just picking those pieces up and doing them without complaining, which has left her feeling like shes carrying the burden for EVERYONE and that i treat her like a 1950's housewife.

She pushed me into going from a job that I enjoyed, but had a manager who was a knob to this new job, which looked amazing but has been hamfisted by incompetence into a hell on earth nightmare for me, and now I get feelings of resentment of everyone who pushed me.

I think we've caught it in time before it split us completely. I dont want to go through the rest of my life without her, but I have a lot of changes in my behaviour I need to make, and we both have a lot of development in our communication skills that we need to do before things can get better.

Take care of yourselves. I nearly lost everything I care about.

gently caress man I feel you. I may have stuffed up my relationship beyond repair through a combination of broke brains, actual stupidity and the inability to express my feelings. I don’t think all of the blame can lie with me, but at least 50%.

It sounds like you’ve had a good discussion with your significant other and cleared the air a bit, well done for that.

That's about what mine had on it when I bought it from my ex's dad. Honestly it wasn't hard to work on. Parts on the other hand require lots of cross-referencing via Allante.org. The car is literally a hodge-podge of parts from various US and Euro carmakers and their suppliers.

The cool thing is the on board diagnostics is over-the-top ridiculous and does an excellent job of telling you what is wrong. Even by modern standards. You literally can operate the individual fuel injectors and spark plugs adhoc via the dash interface, while watching the airflow metering into the engine and the airflow past the o2 sensors.

The only problems I had with mine were the fuel injectors (which were factory originals, and hate ethanol. Replacements cross-referenced the Corvette ZR-1), and I literally replaced every light bulb and relay at some point. Most of which were cross-referenced to the Audi 5000, Porsche 924, the BMW e28, and random Fiat models. It never left me stranded, always started. But boy howdy it was very communicative about its status.

It has the same touchscreen interface as the Buick Reatta right?

I didn't watch the debate it would have just made me angry and depressed. Got enough of that to deal with as it is.

It makes me happy hearing about you couples that are able to communicate and work things out. That's the way to do it and be have a fulfilling life. I wish my last relationship was that way but I couldn't bring things up without her shutting down with anxiety so I stopped doing it and it just snowballed into not being able to go on. I know I was a shithead about some things but if we can't discuss it then I can't fix what I don't know about. Bringing up issues I had with her were completely out of the question so I had to just deal on my own. At least we are still really good friends to this day though since it would hurt more if I lost that too.

Mine was made based off of a mold, it almost clips onto my teeth and is super thin / doesn't really cover the front of my teeth at all. Zero issues getting used to it. Only problem is that since it's through my dentist, it wasn't cheap and it lasts only a year before I wear through it.

TLDR: If you can't get used to it, it's the wrong type/kind.

I've never liked the gold- It was MEANT to be silver, but the painter buggered it up and I installed it at 10pm under fluro lights so I didnt notice it was gold until the next morning. Decided to go darker on the barwork this time- I didnt want black, because I drive government cars all the time and they are all white with black barwork and I wasnt keen on my own car looking like a work car. The colour is Toyota Graphite grey- same colour they put on the 200, 150 and 70 series trucks.

Experiencing 2020 has been inexorably slow, but looking back at 2020 it feels short because I have few personal landmarks to look at. It’s just day-in-day-out get-up, go downstairs, sit at computer until i can’t stand it, maybe do yard work, maybe bang on car I don’t drive anymore, go to sleep, repeat.

Except for getting sick. I’ve been sick all year with an infection I can’t beat. They’re going to take my tonsils on the 9th. They say that’s the reason I was pissing blood earlier.

My friends daughter who I’m supporting through her escape from domestic violence went off the rails yesterday. Dark depression and self harm.

I’ve finally managed to get her to agree that it’s time this poo poo stopped and we need to talk to a professional but she had a rough experience with a psych earlier in her life and isn’t exactly keen on seeing another one, but this is the only way shits not going to spiral downhill into a casket.

My manager has been saying to me that I need to decide whether this job is for me or not. The big shake up in my relationship has made me realise it’s not. It’s bad for my physical health- it’s left me with a permanent injury in my shoulder, it’s affecting my mental health and it’s affecting my family health.

So I’m going to be walking in and telling my manager that no, this job isn’t for me, they’re obviously not happy with my performance, I’m not happy with the role and what it’s turned into and what are we going to do about it.

I’m terrified because I don’t have a fall back, but I can’t keep doing this or it’s going to kill me.

Sorry I wasn't clear, my night guard is custom made from a mold through my dentist. It's pretty thin but I just couldn't sleep with something in my mouth. That said, they told me yesterday that the tooth pain I have is directly caused by my bruxism so I'd better get used to it or try something different because I'm beating the hell out of my teeth at night. So I forced myself to use it last night.

I was able to sleep, but I did wake up tons and needed to actually take a facecloth to bed to act as a droolcloth

But I did it... so hoping it gets easier from here as I get used to it.

I use a night guard as well, took awhile to get used to it but I'm doing much better with it now. Try alternating the nights you use it, one on, one off until you feel like you can use it every night that's what worked for me.

I didn't have problems drooling, but it made me snore a lot at first and I would wake up with a dry-as-a-bone sore throat but that doesn't happen anymore. Your body gets accustomed to it and adjusts accordingly.

I would not call myself religious, I'm more of a sober 'God' guy. I pray and meditate everyday but I don't go to church or anything like that.

I would go into detail but you would probably call me a schizo haha. I have my own beliefs but basically God is indifferent to our affairs, I pray for the courage to withstand the trials of life and not for things to get better.

As for the mental health stuff, I went through something very similar back in January. My mind was racing, I had the paranoid oncoming traffic thing, I thought I had a bunch of chronic illnesses, and felt either incredibly depressed or incredibly anxious all the time.

I got another psych and a therapist (after not having one for years) and the medication has helped a lot. The therapist I got was good but I stopped seeing her after 2 months because she wanted me to start paying some ridiculous co-pay. I think I'm probably going to go back to therapy though because I've had some family resentments come up and I can not seem to shake them.

Anyways, I had been on SSRIs (Zoloft) for years but my psych switched me to Effexor. Since the medication switch almost all of the aforementioned problems have gone away.

I would strongly recommend going to see a medical professional. It made my life so much more bearable lol.

So far I've had good luck with medications.

Therapists on the other hand...

I know my insurance plan very well and know that there should be no co-pay for therapy. Despite this pretty much every therapist that I've tried to book has tried to charge me between $45-55 per session out of pocket, claiming that they have already spoken with to my insurance company and that they're "in network".

No other mental health professional has ever given me this problem. It only seems to be these independent therapy practices (granted my sample size is 2 but still).

Personally, I think they just try to get you to pay the co-pay to get an extra buck.

Moral of the story. Know your health plan in and out!
