I have some "red fox urine" that is apparently used for masking the scent of hunters-- but I had tried to use to keep squirrels from chewing on my wood trim. It didn't seem to work, and then my house smelled like dog piss. Since I had it, I sprayed it around the area where i park my car, and misted the cement under the car to see if that has any effect. Is the coyote piss supposed to be better or more reliable? We have coyotes and gray foxes here in central Texas, but I have no idea if rodents even care about the scent.

Mousetrap Monday checked out Fresh Cab mouse repellent but it didn't stop mice, just reduced their frequency of visits so it might help inside a vehicle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Bd1GS3zF-E His other videos have a lot of mouse traps and would be worth a look if you have a lot on your property.

Abating mice from my garage when I first moved in, I just used a combo of poison bait and snap traps. The mice went after both and I stopped seeing them after about two months. Peanut butter was my bait of choice. You need to find a choke point to trap, or a travel corridor. Mice and rats hug walls and corners so that would be the first place I tried. Look for their poop and holes. If they don't seem to be going for your traps you need to bait them first with just plain bait to train them to keep checking the same area. Then you put down the trap. um excuse me fucked around with this message at 15:35 on Oct 5, 2020 |

Get a cat. Our current place had a couple mice when we moved in and our cats are the laziest housecats in history but after a couple months of living there the mice disappeared and we've seen none in the years since. No kills either, they just noped out.

The previous owners of my house had 5 cats and a mouse problem. I have none and no mouse problem, as a counterpoint.

MetaJew posted:Will those work outdoors? Absolutely. You just have to make sure you secure the slim jim on the tab, most of them have a little barb on the tab so you can just stab the slim jim onto the barb so the rodents have to pull on it, and they will pull on that slim jim every drat time. I caught a potential rat problem and stopped it in it's tracks, I got three of them within a half hour of laying out the traps and got the rest overnight after that and haven't had any issues since.

Okay maybe I'll try this and put a trap or two next to the tire under the car. As I mentioned earlier, the car is parked outside in my driveway. I try to keep the lawn short and there shouldn't be any food source near the car itself. I'm not sure what attracted the rodent, but I'm still unhappy.

After you think you got the ones messing with your car I'd leave a few up against your house/garage just in case to get any stragglers, they tend to travel along walls and fences, that's the best general place to put them outdoors.

Poison is increasingly frowned upon because large animals in the food chain may eat the poisoned mice/rats and die, but it is effective. https://twitter.com/racefansdotnet/status/1312770905630793728?s=20

Yeah poison sucks. Our first apartment together had a mouse problem and they poisoned them and my poor buddy caught and killed a poisoned mouse and got really sick, had we not made it to the vet that morning he would have died. Just set traps and leave the mutilated mice out as a warning to the others.

What a loving dick. The only time I've physically smacked someone was when they hosed with my car while driving. That poo poo is life threatening. Dipshit drunk friend did the "slap the auto into neutral" prank while holding the button so he actually did the "put my car into reverse into the girl he was chatting up all night" prank.

Cats are amazing. We have a 5lb female barn cat and her little 6 month son who kill every vermin in sight. Chipmunks, mice, voles, etc. They live in our feed shed and are super sweet to people in addition to being insane killers. We had a rat issue when we had pigs and they squashed that pretty quickly in conjunction with traps and a .22

I think it either incident alone should be a few year ban, combined probably lifetime ban, but I have a feeling that is not going to be the case. If I'm reading this right I'm pretty sure this is terrible car stuff. At least the driver is black, but based on their reserved parking spot they are probably in management.
