I sincerely hope that nothing comes from that, especially because I have no idea what it would mean for my own marriage. Why the gently caress can't they leave well enough alone. There isn't a religious reason, just bigotry and a want to force their poo poo on others.

I have no clue how that would impact my marriage. My wife has transitioned and is waiting on government paperwork processing to update new name/correct her gender. In theory mine would be fine since at the time it was a hetero license? But who knows what is up ahead.

I can’t even imagine how it would work with legal and trusts and estate principles, just ignoring the complete immorality of it. Are closed estates and probates going be re-opened because they are non invalid and so was the property distribution? I mean even during that weird California Prop 8 period, the marriages conducted were still valid.

You should sign up to be a poll watcher, it's a good time and an easy way to get involved in the political process. I'm sure it's different when you are in southern or red states, but election judges don't put up with shenanigans from anybody, especially poll watchers. I've done close to 3 hours of training for a job that basically amounts to sitting in the corner and not talking. Also in Colorado, they will make you leave or take your hat off if you try to come in with any political gear on. Edit: I'm sure it varies to some degree, state to state, but in Colorado, you aren't watching the voters for fraud, you are making sure the polling place is operating correctly.
