I have gone from absolutely loving this podcast to loving any content anyone from the show puts out. From Hing to Tom Walker and even guests like Montaigne, what a supremely talented and entertaining crew.

I’m here reading the last page to see if the podcast is holding up for people before I decide on diving in for the first time, and this is encouraging.

It's still really good, yeah.

Some of the draggoes and the adjacent crew are quite active on twitch, too, if you get through all the podcast and twitch episodes, and are craving more (forgive me if someone's already posted all this).

Tom Walker's stream is truly quite special; mainly, he plays American Truck Simulator, and viewers can gently caress with him by spending money to do things like force him to wear a wig for 20 minutes, turn hard to the left/right, play annoying sound clips, like 23 seconds of farts, john cena announcing the death of osama bin laden, or this little earworm. The chaos is very fun to watch even if you never spend a dime. There's no reason it should be this fun to watch someone drive a fake truck for 3-4 hours at a time, but he makes it work:
https://twitch.tv/tomwalkerisgood

Demi Lardner also has a stream, which I honestly haven't watched that much, but if you know Tom and/or Demi at all I assume it's exactly what you're expecting:
https://twitch.tv/demilardner

Dave Harmon plays various video games (and the odd board game now and then) and wraps up the night by talking about musicals (usually starlight express but that well has to run dry eventually):
https://twitch.tv/itmedave

Jordan Raskopoulos is a very active streamer too; if I'm being honest all the various effects and overlays on her stream are a little too much for my aging brain most of the time but she's got a loyal following of people that seem pretty cool, and recently broke a world record by continuously singing the song that never ends for 2? 4? 6? hours, some very long time:
https://twitch.tv/jordanrasko

Ben Jenkins technically has a twitch channel but I've never seen him use it. I think he played minecraft on it with dave and demi once and then maybe forgot about it or got too busy:
https://twitch.tv/bendragonfriends

And Edan once said he planned to start streaming but as far as I know that never happened. I think that covers all of them but I'm probably forgetting some, a lot of people are taking to twitch to get through isolation

e: oh and of course there's the official dragon friends twitch channel, where they run their side campaign, the beef babes (and occasional other adventures). AFAIK the vods on this channel never expire so you can catch up at your leisure:

FTAGH is vital suplementary material for anyone who likes Dragon Friends.

I probably think once or twice a week about Michael Hing kinda racistly just assuming his grandfather knew kung fu.

I can't remember which episode of FTAGH it was, but these are part of the same story. Hing assumed his grandfather knew some kind of martial art specifically because his grandfather carried around a cane sword.

I can definitely see the logic there, but conversely, you can also assume that one might own a cane sword to compensate for the lack of martial art knowledge, so it's 50/50 imo

e: also, the pilates reformer story was a trip, and at no point during it did I have any idea where it was going to go. Haven't listened to the bonus ep yet but I'm glad they shared it with the freeloaders because I'd hate to leave it unfinished.

There’s not a huge amount of content on the FTAGH patreon yet, but it’s cheap (pay-what-you-feel I think) and what’s there is good. Especially Ben, Hing & Dave strategizing the “pick two animals, the rest is coming to kill you” meme.

That bonus ep made me realise that Ben would be worse at D&D than Hing if he had to actually play a normal character and come up with strategies for how to get past encounters.

I just listened to the Michelle Brasier eps, and holy poo poo. Lived up to the hype! Underrated part is how it gets across the absolute mania everyone in Melbourne is experiencing. Like, no way would she be reaching out to this guy like this if she hadn't absolutely starved of human contact for the past seven months.

SubNat

Working my way through the FTAGH backlog, it's kind of strange finding an episode where they rip into the concept of livestreamed funerals (e87), being that it's suddenly heavily contrasted by how they've just kind of become a fact of life overnight this year.

My aunt's funeral was one for example, a couple weeks ago. Due to 'max people allowed at event' rules.

e: Also goddamn Edan has been knocking the voices and characters out of the park the last 2 beef babes episodes.
I was not aware he could summon up such potent mean girl energy.

That's the predecessor to Dave's solo twitch streams, which consist of games for three hours and then Musical Chat about starlight express (we might be moving onto Cats or JCS now though).

If they keep going on with 30+ ep seasons of the beef babes, they could honestly just start posting a podcast episode basically weekly year round, at this point.
