yea it's a fine left leaning panel show, which is nice and a thing we need more of, but it's more normal and focused on electoral elements than Chapo. If you want Chapo with no Noid tangents it's good.

he's turned the virgil up to like 11, i find it pretty grating. they've had a couple pretty good eps, I haven't found it good enough to pay for the patreon

The one that was like an hour of Virgil's Contrarian Corner about voting was pretty irritating

I'd be super into Bad Faith if it were still the Jon Stewart Daily Show years, but it feels pretty pedestrian now.

Briahna has been getting much better at hosting as it’s gone on, but it’s definitely more normal. I don’t think it’s going to win over any diehards because Bernie/Chapo connection, but it’s nice to have a 3rd podcast on Monday/Thursday after listening to Matt’s backyard revival meetings.

sure the fbi has a long history of doing exactly like matt said committing entrapment on mentally ill loners to set up and foil outlandish plots straight out of a robert ludlum novel for publicity and to justify their existence, but this time they were totally above board in stopping some nogoodniks from kidnapping and assassinating a governor

Hmmmmm if I were a LEO in Michigan and the Gov was defunding my agencies... what could I do... what sort of crime could I stop... to get her back on my side... and who could I even find to commit such a crime? Oh well, better just quit my job and become a hard-working, honest perHA HA HA HA HA HA no wait I’ll just trick some chucklefucks into kidnapping the governor and then arrest them lol

This is way more woke than tricking autistic Muslim teens into saying '9/11 was cool' in WoW, this time they pushed a bunch of lovely white chuds to do some insane Steven Segal movie plot to justify their continued funding!

I don’t think that being the more left podcaster with the Bernie campaign comms person makes you a lib. He could just be a demsoc and not a revolutionary Marxist
|
# ? Oct 10, 2020 17:19 |

yea Virgil is clearly more on the demsoc side of things than 'lib' as we use it, like, he is a leftist, he just thinks the electoral system can be reformed and used.

I do not see myself ever listening to Bad Faith, but Virgil is in the unenviable position of being the lib chapo to online leftists and an evil berniebro to actual libs (including the Warren freaks who still think of themselves as socialists).

yea I'm glad Virgil is using is weird 'I made a bunch of internet marxists think I'm a secret lib wrecker because I think voting is good still' position to at least help with this 'it's leftist but actually not terminally online' project, as boring as it is to not spend half your leftism podcast making fun of Chunt Hoff the MAGA twitter darling nobody actually cares about it probably is good to have it there for actual normal people to see what the agenda is.
