I agree. They’re gonna get pressure against Baker too. That’s a real issue. Eliminate that somehow and you might stand a chance. The offense is good but have to stop that D. Our Defense isn’t there

Steelers defense will get pressure but watch some of the highlights against the Eagles today, they haven't been amazing.

Will hopefully be a good game before they call it quits on the season.

quote:

An open fracture, also called a compound fracture, is a fracture in which there is an open wound or break in the skin near the site of the broken bone. Most often, this wound is caused by a fragment of bone breaking through the skin at the moment of the injury.

An open fracture requires different treatment than a closed fracture, in which there is no open wound. This is because, once the skin is broken, bacteria from dirt and other contaminants can enter the wound and cause infection. For this reason, early treatment for an open fracture focuses on preventing infection at the site of the injury. The wound, tissues, and bone must be cleaned out in a surgical procedure as soon as possible. The fractured bone must also be stabilized to allow the wound to heal.

Wasn't it the infection that ended up almost causing Alex Smith to need an amputation?

Yes.

It’s far more complicated now.

what does that injury mean in terms of dak's playing football again, can he just walk it off or does he need to rub some dirt on it?

Rule of thumb is usually rub some dirt on it unless the skin is broken.

Also shout out to Ryan and the Dolphins

Assuming he doesn’t get an infection, I’d rather the fracture over a dislocation. The soft tissue stuff always seems worse for healing than broken bones.

Haven’t seen Dak’s injury (...and don’t want to) but remember “open dislocation” from Slamball (that basketball TV show with trampolines) where they zoomed in on it :barf: and I think Grant Hill where he was never the same afterwards. He talked about the complications and everything he had on one of the NBA shows a little while ago.

Just ask Tyrod Taylor for pain management options.

At the very least, if/when he comes back, it's probably going to limit his mobility and shake his confidence.

I thought SB was trying to dunk on the intentional injuries, didn't even think about the Diggs catch

Fun fact, the Texans have never beaten the Vikings. Including the time when they needed a single win to lock up the #1 seed and lost to Ponder despite ADP going for less than 80 yards
