Why are the broadcasts for the games today scheduled to overlap? 6:05 is a weird starting time.

was it a specific trade or more like his basic trade evaluation methodology for years?

That's a nice set of 11 dynasty points there, it would be a shame if 3 rings were to happen with it

I remember the precipitating event for him writing an article about it being a bona fide star for a pile of scrubs, and that's when add up the WAR became an SAS meme. It's driving me absolutely crazy that I can't even come close to finding it.

Formula for Atlanta winning this series:
-Win the games their top starter pitches
-Conjure dark magic to erode the Dodgers starting pitcher depth

we're right on schedule

Kershaw has missed like 30+ starts going back to 2014 with back issues. The first one was a result of the 14 hour flight to Australia when they had to play that stupid loving series there against Arizona.

So yeah it is bad and also the same chronic injury he's been dealing with for many years now.

Thank goodness it wasn't Inciarte, who is completely redundant with Pache around but you just know Snitker would've stuck him back in there.

Imagine Riley shifts to the outfield now, and Camargo covers third. Pretty big net downgrade on offense and defense. (Alternately they just leave Pache in there and take the offensive hit to keep the defense intact, Acuña can't cover Riley and Markakis both.)

O Kershaw, my Kershaw.

Taking him off the roster means he still would be out if they make the next round, right?

Alex Wood, game 5 4 starter?

Maybe just call up Mitch White and call the series.

11 runs, 9 earned in 12.2 innings, good for -0.4 WAR. Thank goodness he's probably not stretched out.

Lineup just submitted with Riley at 3B, Markakis/Pache/Acuña in the OF. Works for me given the options.

Glad to hear it. Give Pache a chance like he should have got during the regular season instead of riding the bench for a bit before being banished.

This implies the issue is mild enough he will start tomorrow or maybe Thursday, as he usually does this work the day before a start. But I wouldn't be surprised to learn it isn't that mild and he starts game 3 or 4 despite being in significant pain.

Kershaw is absolutely the guy who just shows up in the pen in full uniform to get his work in after being told in no uncertain terms to stay home and loving rest because he needs to rest his back.
