My bet is that the Annies will be tallied together, with their separate votes shown. I'm pretty sure Bugsy didn't hit the top ten, but I couldn't help myself.

I actually think it's quite likely Renard didn't get in the Top 10. Characters like Robot and Andrew didn't make it in, and while Renard is slightly more prominent than them he hasn't been particularly involved in the plot for a good while. I'm guessing it's the two Annies and then Kat in #1.

I'm thinking Renard, Forest Annie, and Kat, in that order. My guess is that, forced with a choice, people who wanted to vote for an Annie but not both broke hard for POV Annie. Barring that, I'd say both Annies over Renard sounds more likely than no Annie. Considering everyone else who has already been placed, I don't see an obvious third pick if both Annies are out. The only way both Annies are up top is if a majority of people were boring and only put one vote towards someone who isn't Annie.

Even if you split it down the middle so it went exactly half and half you’d expect the main character of the story to get close to the most votes out of everyone. We’re already at 4K votes minimum for each for the top 3, half of that would drop you down to 7th at worst. No way are we getting an annieless list

Yeah, as long as a majority of voters voted for an Annie, that's 7500 Annie votes, and there is no split of that between the two that doesn't put one or both in the top ten. And main characters are very strong. The two Annies and Kat are almost guaranteed to be the top 3.

Annie is by no means my favourite, but main characters usually do really well in these polls even when they have the personality of a whelk, and Annie has a lot going for her so I'd be surprised if she isn't number one, especially since neither Coyote or Kat, the actual best characters, are on top.

Paz was lovely, but it was very understandable given she's a teen dealing with her first love having a best friend that the universe constantly shits on. But for a tertiary at best character? Having your last appearance before the poll being lovely is not good for your chances. I voted Kat, Coyote, and Zimmy. I think Annie is the best character, but she's not twice as good as these three.

Tom will count the votes for the two Annie's as one entry. This will give that team just enough points to edge past Kat and about halfway towards Tony. He's a really great guy. You just haven't met him the right way. Alternatively, since neither of those particular Annies existed for 90% of the comic, their tally gets decimated. Otherwise it's really weird that one would be top two while the other isn't even in the top ten. They're actually kinda similar.
