I think it was 7-5 but one the whole Lopez was much better. They’ll fight again and he’ll be the prohibitive favorite

i think loma will look way better if he comes into the second fight with a gameplan of "punch, in this, the punch sport"

a rematch could be interesting because Lopez might not be so tentative early and maybe Loma would participate in the fight before the halfway point

I wonder what compubox has it a lot of the rounds Loma “won” on my card he was still pretty significantly out-landed, based on the stats I saw

Great win for Lopez, I think the fight was probably closer to a draw or 7-5 Lopez than that insane 119-109 card but either way the right guy won.

lol. I know those belts are different from one another.....but I like the idea of the guy winning the match just getting four or five belts, some bracelets, and a crown.

"that woman judge...." - Teddy Atlas

But besides that, as someone who was pretty convinced it was too much too soon, Lopez won that fight or at the very least it was a draw. Don't see someone being "reasonable" can get to Lomachenko win. According to social media Arun says there is no rematch clause but I'm not really sure what else Teofimo because it's financially impossible to make a Haney/Tank/Garcia fight right now and it would be weird to see him fight some bobo if he moves up straight to 140 because he certainly wouldn't fight Josh Taylor or Jose Ramirez straight away. Maybe Chon Zepeda?

If Loma can't get a quick rematch then he should move back down and go for Miguel Berchelt or the winner of Carl Frampton-Jamel Herring

EDIt: actually Lomachenko-Shakur Stevenson would be interesting big money fight to build.to 12-15 months down the line

Yeah but he kind of never has? I wouldn’t t exactly say he’s scared of power but he’s not confident he can win if he’s getting hit a lot. This fight he took that to an extreme that’s hard to understand from outside though. He looked completely confident for six rounds while losing at least 5 of them
