Shockmaster is a legendary bad gimmick, but he’s so far beyond the pale that I can’t in good conscience call him the worst because he brings me so much joy. He’s still beating Punk however.

people think shockmaster showed up and tripped and that was it. No, they already committed to him being the mystery partner for the faces in a War Games match, they just changed his gimmick to a schlubby klutz in a hardhat after this. He kept showing up after awhile slipping and tripping too. They gave him mas mask and singlet and portrayed him as "The Super Shockmaster" who may be similar but not the same as his uncle "The Shockmaster." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCtA6NGF7XI also the funniest thing about Rellik is that the character was from when he was in AJPW as a fake Great Muta. He wasn't even the first fake Great Muta because NJPW introduced a new one because Mutoh left and Inoki was like "gently caress you the name was the draw not the performer" sort of like how WWE did Fake Diesel and Fake Razor.

Voted for Beaver Cleavage. Bone Soldier was really bad in both that form and as Captain New Japan, but that's nothing compared to how gross and lovely and bad even the general idea of Beaver Cleavage was, and how apparent that was to literally everybody in the world from conception to execution EXCEPT for whichever Vince came up with the idea (I assume McMahon?)

The thought I had about Bone Soldier while I was seeding this is that this is about bad gimmicks and Taiji Ishimori has proven that the Bone Soldier gimmick is fine. Dude was just a bad wrestler, the gimmick wasn't the issue here.

Captain New Japan was the best comedy jobber gimmick and I will not have his name besmirched on this forum anymore Now Bone Soldier, that was kinda poo poo, or at least the original version was. As Rarity mentioned, however, Taiji's version of it is good, so the gimmick isn't THAT bad. Beaver Cleavage easily, because holy gently caress everything about that gimmick sucks.

Not even a blip on the radar in the grand scheme of things. 2) It damaged a popular act. Beaver Cleavage hurt...Chaz. But this changed my mind so I voted Beaver because it was the fever dream of a diseased psyche.

Bone Soldier is a bad gimmick and a bad wrestler but ultimately a bad joke that went away fast. Beaver Cleavage is an abysmally bad gimmick, wrestler, and joke who didn’t go away fast enough.

I think judging by the criteria of "how embarrassed would I be if a friend/partner/family member were to see this after I said 'Wrestling is really good though!'" is the way to go. And with that in mind Bone Soldier is conceptually fine whereas Beaver Cleavage would result in my skeleton leaving my body from pure mortification.

Although there’s a small possibility that Beaver Cleavage was an intentionally bad gimmick, it didn’t even succeed in that regard and everything surrounding it is so cringeworthy that it deserves to move on.
