Been dipping my toe into jazz again. Listening to stuff like Pharaoh Sanders and Albert Ayler. I'm listening to My Name Is Albert Ayler atm, but I was pretty blown away by Spiritual Unity, as an album. It is free jazz so ymmv, but if this is your kind of thing I really recommend giving it a listen. Ayler was a huge influence on not just jazz but avant-garde, experimental, noise, and hardcore, but I wouldn't say he usually sounds as "harsh" as Sonny Sharrock/Last Exit. ^^^ getting some intense breeders vibes from that i like it i heard Time For Space by Emancipator for the first time recently and i really enjoyed it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xm-Ppiu8DeA tonight i had some time so i went through youtube and listed to at least part of many of Emancipator's songs and i'm really looking forward to listening to them properly. it's been awhile since i've wanted to listen to a whole album in order and it's a really nice feeling

Wire is very good, I think their later 80s stuff is very underrated compared to their first 3 albums. Definitely worth digging into. |

Rough day so I'm listening to The Undivided Five by A Winged Victory For The Sullen, I bought it early this year but even then it almost slipped into my collection without proper attention. Glad I came back to it, it rivals Atomos and that is a hell of an accomplishment. |
