it was an exciting end and it was a frustrating end. the best driver didn't win but you had to wait to see how it was going to come apart. it was truck as gently caress except that it all happened cleanly

I heard Steve O'Donnell this morning and he said they had 92 different computations of the schedule in April, at one point they were ready to go and one of the networks said nope It is impressive that they've managed to get a 36 race season done, which as I think we had discussed, a lot of contracts were potentially voidable if they did not make substantial performance. But maybe not that impressive since we as a country just said gently caress it we're doing our poo poo But then again the NFL simply keeps playing scheduled games even with outbreaks?? So all around NASCAR has handled it really well for so many non-point personnel moving all around the country, when you think about it Besides that what if about Jimmie Johnson

I just didn’t like how bad the racing was. You’ve got a huge issue when even the Trucks can’t pass each other

I was watching and it went on for almost a lap and a half. He brought up her first miscarriage earlier this year, tried to frame it as inspiration for Chase then he mentioned she miscarried again a few weeks ago followed by On the bright side he’s got a cup ride. I hope this is the catalyst that brings Bestwick back to the NBC booth.

It was when he got to NBC where he forgot how to count, which Ryan was in the 12 car, and introduced us to the family ties between the Busch and Truex families.

I don't think that is worth firing him for just kind of tasteless I guess, unless of course they are looking for some reason to let him go.

How is it that every year, without fail, the Final Four are always 1-2-3-4 on the track at some point. They don't always finish that way, though. Finishing positions of final four drivers in the era of this format: 2014- 1-2-7-16 2015- 1-2-6-12 2016- 1-4-6-34 2017- 1-2-4-7 2018- 1-2-3-4 2019- 1-2-4-10

Yeah I can't stand Rick but I don't think in his heart he is that insensitive. It is however consistent with his usual attitude of not letting us live in the moment, while he screams, "just think of the playoff implications!" and such.

Another race season done. I kind of lost interest in cup this year again, stopped watching regularly towards the end of the season. I watched the first ten minutes today and walked back into the living room as they were running the final lap. None of the drivers I like did a whole lot most of the year. Xfinity was cool, and trucks weren't half bad this time around. Hopefully next season proves to be more interesting in the top level with Chastain in the 42. I think I say every year that there are too many races that feel exactly the same and seem to take forever, I definitely think expanding beyond the basic ovals is the way to go, with the additional road courses being more entertaining to watch. A dirt race will be neat as well.

I'm just praying the new car in 2022 gives me anything to look forward to. If the championship is going to be a sham every year I'd at least like decent racing. Not getting my hopes up.

Agreed the races have been bad, though.
