It's off axis 3000 years in the future. Xeno and Senku were using data from their day of petrification.

Keep on GOP rolling rolling rolling rolling.

I do like how they apply scientific principles to the petrification effect.

ISS was not turned to stone when based off length of time of event it would have entered a perfect bubble -> Petri-force is limited by gravity -> came at senku like a wave and not from below -> and at a minimum slowed by the earth if not stopped by it.

Thinking about it... they're approaching Manaus from the Pacific, but I don't think they'll want to sail around Tierra del Fuego and then up the Amazon. If I had to guess, I'd think we're likely going to see them land at Ecuador or something, go across the Andes, then through the Amazon jungle. That'd also give us sufficient variety for more science hijinks and inventions.

Also good. If I remember I read a story about some crazy dude who basically hiked alongside the amazon river all the way from that top area to the coast. Apparently he met drug trafficers several times along the way but they had heard of what he was doing and let him pass through.

You are not dynamiting your way through that, you would need to rebuild the lock structures to make passage.

I kind of feel like the twist will be that the canal is JUST passable enough that by the time the main squad makes their way to the other side, stanely is already waiting for them

It almost has to be, because if the KoS get their motorcycles before they catch up, there's no way Stanley's squad will be able to keep pace through the goddamn Amazon.

Seems clear telegraphing that team Stanley is going to grab the mobile lab, retrofit it, and chase/beat the Science Teens to the target.

The thing about the canal is that they might have been able to make their way through with the motorboat and some work on the locks, maybe some portage. The carrier is huge though and they would have more or less rebuild the drat thing to get something that big through.

It's probably 100% impassable at this point (unless they just handwave something) because it's not a straight cut through the continents. You traverse many levels of elevation change going through the thing.

You can check it out on Google Maps Satellite view. Most of it is a giant lake, but you need to get up to there from their side. Otherwise you're just stuck dealing with a waterfall and there is no way the dock gates and machinery are functional in any state after 5000 years.

Senku and Xeno are so good

Both are planning on using the other's group to accomplish their larger goals

Xeno needs to utilize Senku for help on dealing with Whyman, Senku needs Xeno's forces in case of a militarized threat at their destination. Thats why Xeno is helping Senku and also Why Senku is playing at keeping JUST out of reach of Xeno's forces.
