I disagree a lot with this. hes been a huge disappointment for me. congress hasnt passed any good laws regarding gay marrigae or marijuana legalization or any of the other gimmes that should have been a day 1 thing. his management of the coronavirus has been a complete disaster. same insane disregard for it as trump but we didnt even get a check. we havent gotten a single loving peso in relief money and the country is headed towards complete economic disaster. since AMLO refuses to increase taxation the money for his new programs had to come from other social programs which were just brutally gutted with no regard to their importance so we are seeing poo poo like little kids with no cancer medicine or people in poor areas dying of preventable diseases beyond that his support is just being eroded by one unenforced error after another. the latest thing with flooding is a perfect example. hes on loving tape saying he purposefully flooded the poor areas which just on its face looks incredibly bad. theres no relief money so the whole thing is just an ongoing disaster that looks horrible for him and its all probably because he thought he knew better than anyone else. at this rate AMLO will strangle leftism in Mexico for a generation

He is quite internet savvy in a genuine way which certainly has helped him a lot with younger voters, but him joining PSOL gave that party one hell of a boost exactly because of the combination of street organization/outreach with clever internet use to bring the poorer youth of São Paulo into their platform but elsewhere, they are sucking hard and they can't crack outside metropolitan regions in most of the country. Hell, PT demobilized as it is had a very strong showing in the countryside and scored important victories, because it is literally the only option that is remotely leftist
