Not even a conflict, a loving joke. Nice to see Jess Phillips stuck up for women over a gendered slur not directly targeted at a woman, I wonder how close this was in time to her making GBS threads on sex workers. In the heady days of 2010, when idpol was a big thing online and my class consciousness was mostly dormant, I was of the view that "oh but they're worse" was an unacceptable defense for minor infractions and mistakes. I do still believe that sentiment at its core, but it is obvious it's been weaponised to enforce absolute purity and perfection from one group, while others get to spray their diarrhoea everywhere, roll around in it, and any mention that they have poo poo of their own to clean up gets called a distraction tactic.

I think Clive Lewis would be a good Labour leader, his anti-racism letters that he wrote are very good and get straight to the point. I wouldn't like to see what kind of monster the press would become under such a leadership though, but that seems like something we'd have to weather to get anything better than Starmerism.

Getting unapologetically crass dirtbag leftist shitposters willing to laugh in the face of these kind of nakedly disingenuous concern troll attacks to stand as political candidates is honestly the only way a socialist-y party (post-Starmer Labour or otherwise, though I'm not sure what the alternative is in the UK) is going to make any real headway vs the, populist right. Whimpering and apologising to people who have no intention of ever being satisfied just makes you look pathetic and gains you nothing.

Cutting 30% of the foreign aid budget and allocating it directly to the military is very cool. They changed the rules a while back to allow counting some military spending as aid too, so I bet claim they're still hitting the 0.7% GDP target because drones could technically drop food.
