I doubt that it was an organizational decision to do that either, it strikes me more as a player trying to get his team out of a dumb situation due to confusion while substituting players.

Taking draft picks away from teams if they "fake" injuries is just going to lead to more players trying to tough out poo poo they shouldn't to prevent being accused of faking poo poo. That's a terrible precedent to set.

As I mentioned in the GDT this week Eric Murray 3/18 10.75m guaranteed Cobb 3/27 18m(!) guaraneed Combined AAV: 15m DJ Reader who they couldn't afford to keep and was the anchor of their interior run defense which is now among the worst in the league after being one of the best last season: 4/53 20.25m guaranteed AAV: 13.5m So they're paying more for lovely players who're making way more guaranteed money.
